As part of an ongoing sidewalk maintenance and repair project, the City of Pflugerville contracted with The Wallace Group to bring various sidewalks into compliance with current state and federal accessibility regulations. The project included the design and construction of a 3,240 linear feet 10-foot wide hike and bike trail and 450 linear feet of a 6-foot sidewalk. The projects included retaining walls and associated drainage improvements. To minimize the inconvenience to residents, planning was critical. The work included traffic control for lane closures and work within right-of-way, placement, maintenance and removal of erosion and sedimentation controls, and re-vegetation of disturbed areas. A post-construction survey was performed to verify that critical areas conformed to the design.
This project included survey, civil design, project management and construction administration.
