 City of Austin CMTA Sidewalk Project

The City of Austin contracted with the Wallace Group to manage the design of over 15,000 linear feet of 6-foot concrete sidewalk. The work consists of demolition and removal of non-compliant sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and curb ramps. The new construction of 5-inch concrete sidewalks is per ADA and TAS regulations. In addition, the design of ADA and TAS compliant concrete driveways, curbs, and curb ramps are part of this project. Construction includes striping removal, signage relocation and placement, and utility adjustment and protection. Work also includes traffic control for lane closures and work within right-of-way, placement, maintenance, and removal of erosion and sedimentation controls, and installation and watering for sodding.

The project included a preliminary design report, layout, construction plans, design, utility coordination and City of Austin general permitting. Project Management including coordinating the work of five subconsultants including surveying, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and landscape architecture.
