The Wallace Group, Inc. was selected by a joint committee composed of the City of Copperas Cove, the Economic Development Board, and the Industrial District to develop a Master Plan which will serve as a guideline for continuing development of the present 190 Business and Industrial Park. The Economic Development Corporation is the funding source for the development of the Plan.

The 190 Business and Industrial Park consists of approximately 92 acres. The Park is located on the eastern limits of Copperas Cove adjacent to the common boundary between the City and Fort Hood. The Park is situated along and south of U.S. Business 190. Approximately 25 acres are presently developed into retail and service land uses.

The construction of US 190 Bypass will have a major impact on the Park and the community as a whole. This Bypass will create a new unspoiled front door for Copperas Cove. It is essential that this new view of the City be properly zoned, developed, and improved. The image of the City to the travelers on US 190 will be portrayed as what they see as they skirt the City. This new image will also have a profound effect on the civic attitude of the citizens of Copperas Cove. There will be new civil pride in the community created by the development along the new routing.
