City of Temple Hog Pen Creek Drainage Study
 Client: City of Temple
 Project Manager: David Marek, PE
 Date: 08/22/07

Work Order 10186

In a series of projects, The Wallace Group was able to perform drainage studies, recommend improvements, provide construction drawings, assist in construction administration, and receive a Letter of Map Revision from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for post-construction conditions in the Hog Pen Creek Watershed.

Prior to two major road construction projects, The Wallace Group performed a comprehensive drainage study of the 2,170-acre watershed. The methodology used included delineation of the watershed, use of SCS TR-20 and Quick HEC-1 computer models for determining runoff, and the Haestead Methods Culvertmaster and Flowmaster computer programs for determining water profile characteristics and flowrates for various locations within the watershed for existing and ultimately developed conditions. Recommended solutions were established and prioritized to relieve flooding in the area.
