The existing roadway was an eighteen foot wide ribbon asphalt section with open ditches. The improved section was increased to a forty-eight foot wide curb and gutter street with curb inlets and storm drain culverts. The street section was designed to handle the increased loading from the many school buses and other commercial vehicles.
