 Southwest Region Little League Headquarters

The Little League Association contracted with The Wallace Group to design and construct the Southwest Region Little League Headquarters. Divided into a multi-phased project, the first phase, $2.1million, included construction of two Little League Regulation Fields, concession areas, utilities, and paved parking. Phase II included the design of an 8,100 s.f. office structure with conference rooms, storage/supply rooms, lobby, kitchen, and ancillary spaces.

Future phases will include a Senior Baseball Field, concession and restroom structures, 37,500 s.f. dormitory structure, cafeteria, conference and training rooms, recreation rooms, laundry facility, and administrative offices.

One of the challenges faced during the design of the project was ensuring the safe flow of pedestrian and auto traffic. Designated walkways were designed alongside the parking lots. To avoid traffic congestion during the games, site layout and widening of a farm-to-market road was coordinated with TxDOT and the City of Waco Traffic Services.
