USDA representatives were on hand to present Moffat WSC a loan/grant check for $1,307,700.00. The presentation was made during USDA Rural Development's regional meeting on May 28th in Crawford, Texas. Receiving the check were Art Ballard, Moffat WSC Board President and Lafonda Wilsey, Moffat WSC Manager. The funds will go towards completing three necessary water projects. Moffat WSC contracted with The Wallace Group, Inc. to design a 1.0 MG ground storage tank and pump station, 6 and 8-inch waterlines, and rehabilitate an existing pump station. In addition to improving the water capacity in Moffat, the new ground storage tank will put an end to a connection problem with the water supplier. The new waterlines will increase pressure throughout the system.
Design will be complete this summer with construction slated to begin in the fall.
