The Wallace Group believes that sound planning is the foundation
for functional and efficient facility design. Master planning is
a pre-designed service developed by predicting growth patterns based
on historical trends, clients visions, known programs, budgets,
and local ordinances governing growth and development.
Master planning covers a broad range of issues and will provide
the level of detail necessary to guide future development.
A facility study is a pre-design service focusing on the
operations of buildings within a campus for relationships and efficient
circulation, and the adequacy of existing design building systems,
such as lighting, plumbing and HVAC. The current needs are as examined
and the long-range plan is developed to update building systems,
functional relationships and building circulation in response to
projected needs.
This service is geared towards studying buildings and or
campuses for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (Handicap Accessibility).
These are the governing agencies regulating building design for
accessibility of people with disabilities.
The Wallace Group has the trained staff in-house to assess deficiencies
in accessibility for a building or campus and provide solutions
sensitive to both aesthetics and the budget.
The ADA led to development of the Texas Accessibility standard,
by the Texas Department of licensing and regulation. The TAS has
become the governing set of rules for determining compliance with
the ADA with the state of Texas. |
